As part of our commitment to academic excellence, we offer Advanced Placement (AP)
courses, which are designed to offer college-level curriculum and prepare students for
higher education. Here are the key features of our AP courses:
College-Level Curriculum:
AP courses at Legacy Online School follow the curriculum guidelines established by the
College Board, the organization responsible for the AP program. These courses are
designed to reflect the rigor and content of introductory college courses. By enrolling in
AP courses, students have the opportunity to engage in college-level material while still
in high school.
Preparation for College Success:
The primary goal of AP courses is to prepare students for the challenges of college
academics. By completing AP courses and succeeding in AP exams, students
demonstrate their readiness for college-level work, which can enhance their college
applications and potentially earn them college credit.
Course Offerings:
Legacy Online School offers a range of AP courses across various subjects, including
mathematics, sciences, social sciences, languages, and humanities. These courses are
taught by highly qualified and experienced instructors who are experts in their respective
fields. The full list of courses can be found in the Appendices.
Benefits of Taking AP Courses:
Enrolling in AP courses offers several advantages to students. It provides an opportunity
to delve deeply into subjects of interest, develop critical thinking and analytical skills, and
experience the rigor of college-level academics. Additionally, taking AP courses
demonstrates a student's commitment to academic excellence and can positively impact
college applications.
Note: Students cannot enroll in just AP Courses alone. To take an AP Course, they must
be enrolled in one of our programs, either Self-Paced or Group Learning.
More information regarding credits can be found in the Appendices 7.4. Section.
