At Legacy Online School, we offer both honor and credit classes to cater to the diverse

learning needs and academic aspirations of our students. These classes provide unique

opportunities for students to excel and challenge themselves academically. Let's explore

the key features of honor and credit classes:

Honor Classes:

Honor classes are designed for academically motivated students who seek a more

challenging and rigorous curriculum. These classes typically cover the same content as

regular credit classes but in greater depth and complexity. The primary goal of honor

classes is to stimulate critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills while

providing an enriched learning experience and enhancing competitiveness during

university application and college admissions.

Eligibility and Criteria:

Enrollment in honor classes is usually based on specific eligibility criteria, which may

include previous academic performance, teacher recommendations, and standardized

test scores. Students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to learning and have

achieved academic excellence are often invited to participate in honor classes.

Curriculum and Expectations:

Honor classes may have a faster pace and require more independent study and

research. The curriculum often includes advanced topics and additional assignments that

encourage students to explore subjects in greater depth. Expectations for class

participation, critical analysis, and written work are typically higher in honor classes. You

can find the list of Honor Classes in the Appendices.

Benefits:

Participating in honor classes can offer several advantages to students. These benefits

include intellectual growth, improved problem-solving abilities, and better preparation for

advanced courses in the future. Honor classes also provide an opportunity for students

to interact with like-minded peers, fostering a challenging and supportive academic

environment.

Credit Classes:

Credit classes are the standard academic courses offered at Legacy Online School.

These classes cover the essential curriculum and meet the requirements for graduation.

While they are not as accelerated or intense as honor classes, credit classes still provide

a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.

Flexibility and Choice:

At Legacy Online School, students have the flexibility to choose between honor and

credit classes based on their academic strengths and interests. This allows each student

to tailor their course load to align with their individual goals and aspirations.

More information regarding credits can be found in the Appendices 7.4. Section.
