At Legacy Online School, we provide a dynamic and engaging virtual classroom
experience for our students. All lessons and interactive sessions are conducted through
video conferencing platforms, primarily Google Meet. This chapter outlines the
procedures and benefits of attending virtual classes, including the recording of lessons
for students' convenience.
Virtual Classroom Platforms
Our school utilizes Google Meet as the primary platforms for delivering live virtual
classes. These platforms offer a seamless and user-friendly interface, enabling students
to actively participate in discussions, ask questions, and collaborate with their peers and
teachers.
Recorded Lessons
We understand that circumstances may occasionally prevent students from attending
scheduled live classes. To accommodate such situations and ensure continuous learning,
all lessons conducted through Google Meet are recorded. Links to these recorded
lessons are made available to students, allowing them to review the material covered
during the missed class.
Flexible Attendance Policy
At Legacy Online School, we recognize the importance of maintaining a healthy balance
between academics and personal responsibilities. We offer a flexible attendance policy
to support our students' needs. If a student is unable to attend a live class due to
unforeseen circumstances, they can rely on the recorded lesson to catch up on the
material. However, we encourage students to attend live classes whenever possible to
actively engage with the subject matter and benefit from real-time interactions with
teachers and peers.
Making the Most of Recorded Lessons
While recorded lessons provide a valuable resource, students are encouraged to use
them responsibly. Here are some guidelines for effectively utilizing recorded lessons:
- Timely Review: If a student misses a live class, they should make an effort to review the
recorded lesson as soon as possible to stay up-to-date with the curriculum.
- Note-taking: Students should take notes while watching the recorded lessons to
reinforce learning and retain important concepts.- Participation: Although students can rely on recorded lessons, active participation in live classes fosters better understanding and engagement.
Virtual Classroom Etiquette
To maintain a conducive learning environment during virtual classes, we expect students
to follow proper online etiquette. This includes:
- Respectful Behavior: Students should demonstrate respect towards their teachers and
peers, maintaining a positive and supportive virtual classroom environment.
- Active Participation: Engaging in class discussions, asking questions, and contributing
to group activities enhances the learning experience for everyone.
- Appropriate Attire: While attending virtual classes, students are encouraged to dress
appropriately as they would in a traditional classroom setting.
