Student Code of Conduct

Students at Legacy Online School are expected to be Respectful, Responsible,

Compassionate and Engaged both at school and in the broader community. Students

should also model being engaged, respectful, responsible, and compassionate for the

younger students. Students are also to remember that their behavior in the community

reflects on the school and their classmates. Students should be expected to treat their

peers, teachers, and staff members with respect and courtesy in all online interactions.

This includes using appropriate language, refraining from bullying or harassment, and

avoiding any behavior that disrupts the learning process for others.

Bullying and Harassment Policy

Our online school prioritizes a safe and inclusive learning environment. We strictly

prohibit bullying, harassment, or intimidation, ensuring a positive experience for all.

Bullying and harassment, as outlined, include verbal, written, visual, or electronic

behaviors that intimidate or offend. This encompasses:

Verbal Bullying: Harmful language targeting personal characteristics.

Written Bullying: Sending insulting messages or emails.

Visual Bullying: Sharing humiliating content.

Cyberbullying: Electronic bullying through social media or online forums.

Harassment: Repeated unwanted behaviors creating an offensive environment.

Anyone witnessing such incidents is urged to report promptly to staff, teachers, or

administrators. Reports are handled confidentially.

Upon report receipt, an impartial investigation begins, gathering evidence and

conducting interviews. Disciplinary actions depend on severity and may range from

warnings to expulsion.

Breaking these rules results in consequences:

1. Meeting with the Student: Upon the first offense, the student will have a meeting.

This meeting aims to directly address the behavior, its impact, and the importance

of compliance with school policies.

2. Meeting with Parents: If the behavior persists following the initial warning, a

second meeting will be arranged involving the student and their parents orguardians.

3. Expulsion: Should the behavior continue despite the interventions, the student

faces expulsion from the online school. Expulsion is the most severe consequence

and signifies the termination of the student's enrollment in our school.
